Their first wave starts here
Soft, safe foam decks that catch waves easy and shrug off the rocks, the tailgate, and three summers of little surfers. Made to learn on. Built to hand down.

Which size for which age?
Pick by your rider, not their birthday. Match their height and weight to the right length and you will have a board that catches waves now and keeps up for a few seasons.

Between two sizes? Size up. The extra foam catches more waves and gives them a season of growing room. Heavier or more confident riders can size up too. Still unsure? Chat with a Huntington Beach local and we will match you.
Boards built for little rippers
Every grom-board setup should feel simple: a friendly deck, easy wave-catching volume, and a clear size path.
The board you won't replace
Most beginner boards get bought twice: once cheap, then again when it cracks. Formula Fun is built around the one that does both jobs and lasts the whole way through.
Soft, safe deck
A forgiving foam top and soft fins mean fewer bumps and bruises while they are finding their feet, with no hard rails to fear in the lineup.
Built to hand down
The closed-cell core is built to avoid waterlogging, ding-out, and early retirement. One board can carry a kid for years, then pass to the next little surfer.
Made in the USA
Shaped in Huntington Beach with Marko Foam heritage since 1961. Real surf-shop quality, not a big-box pool toy.
100% recyclable
When they finally outgrow it for good, trade it in. Formula Fun recycles the foam responsibly and takes $100 off their next size up.

Got questions?
What size board should I get for my kid?
Go by height and weight, not just age. Match your rider to the size guide above. Most 5-7 year-olds land on the Grom 6'0", and 7-9 year-olds on the Lil' Doho 6'6". Caught between two sizes? Size up for more wave-catching and a season of growing room.
Is a foam board actually safe for a beginner?
That is exactly what it is built for. The soft foam deck and flexible fins are more forgiving than a hard fiberglass board if it bumps a knee, shin, or another surfer. Pair it with a leash and adult supervision in the water.
Can a beginner adult ride one of these too?
Yes. The Doho Grom 7'0" and Doho 8'0" are useful for lighter or shorter adult beginners, and the whole family can share one board. For a full adult quiver, the 8'0" Doho and 9'6" San O are sized for grown-ups.
How long will it last - can it be handed down?
Years is the intent. The closed-cell core is built to avoid waterlogging and early failure, so one board can carry a kid through several seasons and pass down to the next sibling.
What is included, and do I need wax?
The grom-board concept is built around a ready-to-surf setup: soft fins, leash, and a textured deck that is grippy without wax.
What if the size is not right?
The source design frames this as an easy exchange path. Final operations copy should be confirmed against current Formula Fun return and exchange policy before paid traffic goes live.
